The brief

Harbor Café was expanding from one shop to three and their website copy had not kept up — it read like a corporate press release written by committee.

What I did

  • Interviewed the founders and regulars to extract the phrases real customers already used
  • Wrote a one-page brand voice guide the whole team actually reads
  • Rewrote the site: menu, about page, locations, and a wholesale inquiry flow
  • Trained two staff members to write social posts in the same voice

Result

Wholesale inquiries doubled in the first quarter after launch, and the founders finally stopped rewriting the homepage themselves at midnight.
