The brief

A three-person startup had a working product but a landing page that explained nothing. Visitors bounced before understanding what the tool actually did.

What I did

  • Rewrote the headline and subhead around the customer's problem, not the product's features
  • Structured the page into five scannable sections: problem, solution, how it works, pricing, FAQ
  • Wrote all microcopy: button labels, form placeholders, empty states, and error messages
  • A/B tested two headline variants for the first two weeks after launch

Result

Sign-up conversion went from 1.2% to 3.8% in the first month. The founders stopped explaining the product on sales calls because the site finally did it for them.
